“Smoking Politics”: Mitt Romney’s Dirty Money

April 17, 2007

Tomorrow (Wednesday) at Noon eastern time, the “Smoking Politics” show on Blog Talk Radio will talk about how Mitt Romney loves that dirty money. As co-host James Boyce writes on The Huffington Post:

They say you can tell a lot about a person by the company he keeps. And they say you can tell a lot about a politician by the donors he loves. In fairness, any politician can get money from rather unsavory sources, but when patterns emerge you can tell what a politician is like by the donor company he or she keeps.

If this holds true for Mitt Romney it would make him a push-polling, SwiftBoat-lying, racist, immigrant-hating, Hitler-using candidate.

Boyce adds, “For a man who won’t swear and doesn’t drink, he certainly likes hanging out with some real lowlifes.”

Lowlifes like Carl Linder of “Common Sense Ohio, which ran deceptive ads and push-polling;” Sam Fox, the swift boat funder that Dubya just recess appointed to be ambassador to Belgium; and John Rakolta, who “thinks that [Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm], and some other prominent Democratic presidents, resemble Hitler.”

Anyway, James will discuss this tomorrow on his “Smoking Politics” show, along with Dave Johnson of Seeing the Forest and Taylor Marsh, of www.taylormarsh.com. Should be a great show.

Talking Blog Talk Radio On WWBC Florida

April 17, 2007

After the end of my CQ Radio show this afternoon — and a great interview with Bernard Goldberg — I got the chance to speak with Andrea Shea King at WWBC in Florida, along with her guests, Free Republic posters Chris Taylor and Larry Middleton. Andrea interviewed me at length about my new position with Blog Talk Radio, and I had an opportunity to speak about all of the terrific shows and how easily anyone can make themselves into a talk-show host. I had a great time talking BTR, blogs, and current events with Andrea — and hopefully I can do it again soon.

The segment will repeat at 9 pm CT, I believe. They do not have archives set up yet on their website, but I hope to catch the segment myself tonight.

And be sure to download the CQ Radio interviews from the last two days, with Duncan Hunter on Monday and Goldberg today. At Blog Talk Radio, the archives are always on line!

Steve H. Graham, Author of The Good, the Spam and the Ugly and Eat What You Want and Die Like a Man

Finally a Show About Something That Actually Matters
My name is Steve H. Graham, and due to a grave error in judgment on the part of the bigwigs at BTR, I just became a featured host. Which I guess is better than being a featured parasite.

While other hosts blither about trivial nonissues like whether we should try to save the planet, I intend to devote my next show (Tuesday, 9
Eastern) to important questions, such as, “Do female bloggers actually need talent, or is it enough to just have enormous bazooms?” I think we all know the answer, but we may as well reinforce the point by having an open debate in which I prevail by interrupting my guests and muting their phones. I haven’t been watching Bill O’Reilly for nine years for nothing.

I have a few prominent bloggers lined up as guests, and like any responsible host, I chose them primarily by cup size. Even the men. So put on your Man-sierres and Bros, guys, because my show is The Place to Be.

Also, anyone caught referring to Don Imus will be forced to perform in a naked pyramid with Michael Richards and Kinky Friedman.

BlogTalkRadio Welcomes “The Blog Squad”!!

April 17, 2007

The Blog Squad™ announces Season Two of their Internet radio show “Blogging and Beyond” on Blog Talk Radio™ Thursdays at 6 p.m. ET. The show focuses on how to create a strong Internet presence through blogs, ecommerce and social media tools.

On April 19th their first show of Season Two is “The State of the Blogosphere”, and features an interview with Lena West, CEO of xynoMedia Technology. Lena shares trends in how businesses are leveraging the blogosphere: what’s working and what’s not.

Blog Squad™ experts Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D., and Denise Wakeman interview Ms. West about how to manage the overwhelming amount of new “social media” tools popping up nearly every day and how to get the most ROI from the blogosphere.

“Blogging is no longer a new trend,” says Dr. Krakoff. “It is a powerful opportunity for all businesses to take their message to the public, and connect authentically with clients. But with all the new tools being created, it’s hard to know what to pay attention to when it comes to marketing a business online. We aim to cut through the clutter.”

Krakoff and Wakeman created Blogging and Beyond to show business professionals how essential marketing tools such as blogs, ezines and shopping carts work together for attracting clients, even if they have limited tech skills, no staff, and a small budget.

“Blogging and Beyond” with Patsi Krakoff and Denise Wakeman broadcasts each Thursday at 3 pm Pacific (6 pm Eastern) on the Blog Talk Radio Channel. Log on to listen at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/blogsquad . Past shows are available On Demand and as podcasts.

Information about Blogging and Beyond is at http://www.BloggingAndBeyond.com.
