BlogTalkRadio Groups on Facebook

November 29, 2007

BlogTalkRadio recently launched six new niche groups on Facebook to compliment our own social radio network. Get involved, post, share and discuss.

Knowing that every host or listener on the network has certain interests, we’re trying to make finding, sharing and communicating about our diverse content even easier. Never miss an outstanding live show again!

To help, we’ve created six categorized groups on Facebook to add to our original BlogTalkRadio Facebook group.

FBEntertainment BlogTalkRadio Entertainment - From television and movie stars to authors, musicians and comedians. If it’s hot in entertainment, it’s on BlogTalkRadio.

FBHealth BlogTalkRadio Health - Health experts often provide fitness and living tips on BlogTalkRadio. Looking to make or maintain a healthy lifestyle? Here’s a programming guide and place to share.

FBPolitics BlogTalkRadio Politics - We’ve got it all from both sides of the coin. Our notable guest list for Politics is outstanding. Exclusive interviews and heated discussions abound.

FBSports BlogTalkRadio Sports - We run the gamut on sports. Baseball, football, hockey, WWE, MMA, and sports. Your favorite team is on BlogTalkRadio, are you listening?

FBTechnology BlogTalkRadio Technology - The best from the Web. High profile bloggers and web pioneers talk tech. This group gives you the heads up on what’s shaking on the ‘net.

FBWomen BlogTalkRadio Women - A virtual meet up for women’s issues and lifestyle features that you’ll want to know about and share. It’s our eclectic mix of mom, family, and business.

And of course, to get caught up, check out our constantly updated Best Of BTR page to see what you’ve already missed.

If you have an interest - as a host or listener - in any of these topics, join these groups. We post the best guests, topics and photos and more in each group and we encourage you to share your thoughts and experiences. Invite your friends. We all work hard to put the best shows “on the air” so we need to spread the word.

Tribute to Will Gage

November 29, 2007

We recently found out about the loss of one of our longtime esteemed BlogTalkRadio hosts.

Will Gage, a co-host of the very popular entertainment and lifestyle show On Da Set, recently passed away after a battle with cancer.

We would like to honor Will by remembering how enthusiastic and excited he was on the air, and how much energy he brought to the BlogTalkRadio community. While we are very saddened by this news, it is only fitting that another BlogTalkRadio host brought it to our attention, because he cared deeply and knew we, the BlogTalkRadio staff, as well as the other hosts and listeners would care too.

Our CEO Alan Levy adds,

I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of William Gage. Will was the co-host with Idalyze on the BlogTalkRadio show “Ondaset”. Ondaset is one of the most longstanding and special shows on the network and when I started BTR in the fall of 2006, every week I knew that I could listen to Will and Idalyze have an absolute great time while they were on their show. Will would always brighten the room and bring smiles to his thousands of fans. When other talk radio networks sprouted up, Idalyze and Will stood by me and BlogTalkRadio. I will never forget their loyalty and hearing Will’s greetings when I was lucky enough to be a guest on their show.

BlogTalkRadio is not just a website, like the countless other websites out there. We are a community. A community of people, passionate people, intelligent, critical, observant, and likeminded people who use BlogTalkRadio to communicate and reach a world outside ourselves.

We will miss Will, when we hear the silence On Air where we once heard his voice. We would like to plan a tribute broadcast, and if you are interested in participating, please drop us a line.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
