Lupita Nyong’o made her film debut in 2013 with her role in 12 Years A Slave, but she’s already being honored with a Golden Globe nomination, with a fair amount of OScar speculation as well. Nyong’o stops by FilmGordon Radio to talk about landing the role.
Nyong’o, a graduate of the Yale School of Drama, “auditioned three times in three different states” for the role. She calls the experience of working on the film “an education that I didn’t even know I needed “so glad that I got to take this time period so personally… I’m forever changed by this experience.”
