Jeremy Chilnick is the film production partner of Morgan Spurlock, the director of such investigative documentaties as Super Size Me, Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden, and the recent One Direction: This Is Us, the latter of which follows the British boy band. Chilnick and Spurlock also formed the production company Warrior Poets together, which releases their films. Chilnick talks with Heather Lounsbury of Live Natural Live Well about One Direction.
Chilnick talks about his and Spurlock’s attraction to the project, calling the band “a real phenomenon” and comparing their level of ubiquity and fandom to that of the Beatles. Documenting such a cultural event, he says, was “too good of a story to pass up.”
