12 Years A Slave is nominated for seven Golden Globe awards, including Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay. ScreenPicks reviews the film. They also call the film “amazing,” although acknowledging that some may avoid it for fear of “leaving with this really heavy feeling in their chest.”
