Tavis Smiley talks to Vincent Bugliosi, prosecutor and JFK assassination historian. Bugliosi believes that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the murder, and that Americans have been “deceived into believing” in a conspiracy. He believes that conspiracy theory arises from fascination with the case, being “the most important murder case in American history.”
Smiley also talks to David Satcher, former U.S. surgeon general, about gun control. Satcher believes that “gun violence is a major public health problem,” approaching the issue as a medical epidemic. He compares gun violence to the crack cocaine epidemic and believes that it can be solved with a public health approach.
