Pierce Brosnan’s No Casanova: ‘I like having the stability of one woman’

Pierce-Brosnan-and-wife-Keely-Smith

“I remember Keely getting into the car in this cloud of a wedding dress and looking like a princess,” Pierce (right) tells us of his wife (left) on their 2001 wedding day.

Despite playing one of the world’s most famous lotharios in four smash-hit flicks, Pierce Brosnan believes in fidelity with all his heart.

When Wedding Day Radio host Robin Milling asks the former James Bond if he feels guilty about having intense relationships with women on the big screen while Keely Shaye Smith, his wife of 11 years, peers on, he replies:

“She calls it legal cheating. She said this at a dinner party one night and I just about choked on my shrimp! I’m a lucky guy.”

Then Pierce—whose new flick, All You Need Is Love, co-starring Danish beauty Trine Dyrholm, tells the story of a hairdresser who travels to Italy for her daughter’s wedding and falls for an angry widower—turns serious.

“It’s just a great job that I have to be able to play out the romance of life, the sexuality of life,” he says.

“However, if I were to go down every avenue, I wouldn’t be here. I’m not very good at such a life. I want to have my cake and eat it.

“I like to have the stability of one woman, a family and the continuity of that.”

Pierce and Keely were married Aug. 4, 2001 at Ballintubber Abbey in County Mayo, Ireland. The couple has two children, Dylan and Paris.

The New BlogTalkRadio Portable Player Is Here!

The BlogTalkRadio Portable Player enables you to share your show with more listeners on your site, blog and social networks. We’re happy to unveil a brand new version of this player with a  number of enhancements to help you further grow your audience of listeners.

The player features the slick new look & feel of our recent redesign.  It also displays the images that you’ve attached to your show, just like the player on your BlogTalkRadio show page.

Here’s what the new player looks like when embedded:

A big reason why we’re changing the player is to allow your show embeds to work on mobile devices, which typically use a built-in player instead of Flash or HTML5. This means your listeners will be able to listen to shows on their iPhone or Android phone as well as their desktop computer.

To embed your show, you just copy your embed code right from your profile or episode page (depending on which you’d like to embed):

Sean Kanan and Wife Michele Dish Details of Their Mediterranean Wedding

an-kanan-wife-michelle_vegaTV fans who may cringe at the bad-boy characters Sean Kanan portrays on General Hospital and The Young and the Restless will be happy to learn that, in real life, he’s a devoted family man—and a romantic to boot.

“I was living single in Los Angeles. I had a big house in the Hills, all by myself. Then I met Michele, and she promptly told me she had four kids. So I did what I think any guy would do—I married her! And I have a daughter myself, so now we have this blended Brady Bunch family,” the actor, 46, tells Wedding Day Radio host Erin Brown of his beloved bride, who sat down with him to dish details of their nuptials last summer in Europe.

“We went to this little Italian town called Monte di Procida where I’d shot a film several years ago and became very good friends with the owner of the Al Chiar di Luna hotel,” says Sean, who, as author of The Modern Gentleman: Cooking and Entertaining with Sean Kanan, knows a thing or two about throwing a memorable party. “We had a beautiful wedding overlooking the Mediterranean. We were married by the mayor of the town. Then we went to Sicily for our honeymoon.”

“I ended up wearing, like, six different dresses,” says Michele a producer-director whose big-screen credits include 2011’s My Trip to the Dark Side. “Birgit Müller, a three-time Emmy-winning costumer for The Bold and the Beautiful, did the design work. And Sean wore a suit by Carlo Pignatelli.”

As for favorite wedding gifts bestowed on couple, Sean adds: “One of my Italian friends showed up with this super lightweight luggage. That sounds really silly, but we’d bought a bunch of stuff during out tour of Italy, so we needed it.”

Hosts who have used it already have found this method delivers better sound quality. Try it on your next broadcast and let us know what you think.

Next time you enter the studio, you’ll see a new button next to the Skype button. Click this button to use Direct Connect to host your show.
