Jane Leeves: Forget Network Television. Cable’s Where It’s At!

She first caught viewers’ eyes as “Marla the virgin” on NBC’s Seinfeld.

Then she rocketed to fame as Daphne Moon on NBC’s Frasier.

So you’d think Jane Leeves would give network TV a bit more respect.

No longer a virgin to cable TV.

Jane: No longer a virgin to cable TV.

But like many an actor these days, Jane just can’t abide the plethora of reality programming that’s pushed upon America night after night.

Instead, she prefers cable – and isn’t shy about telling BlogTalkRadio all about it.

Today on TV Talk at 6 p.m. ET, Jane chats with host Shaun Daily about playing Alizee Dufresne on the hit USA series, The Starter Wife.

“There’s so much reality on the networks that cable is the place to go now.  They’re doing more cutting-edge stuff . . . USA, TNT – all those places have terrific shows right now,” says the British beauty.

“It’s really the only place they’re doing [scripted dramas]. It’s just a great opportunity, especially for women. They seem to be writing all these great parts for women. And I think that’s sort of the future.”
