Over One Million Surfed! BlogTalkRadio Hits Critical Milestone

First we want you to take a good hard look at this chart.

Got it?  Great.

Now we want you to take a bow.

How come?

Because you – BlogTalkRadio hosts, listeners and staffers alike – made this momentous occasion possible.

According to Compete.com, a leading Internet-analytics service, BlogTalkRadio last month hit the one-million-unique-users mark for the first time ever.  (Actually, we hit 1,006,996 – not that anyone’s counting.)compete_serch_logo_4281That represents a year-over-year rise of 418 percent.

Even more amazing is the fact that users remain engaged on the network for an average of 12 minutes each.

And for the icing on the cookies (sorry, bad Internet pun) cake, BlogTalkRadio now ranks 1,861th among all U.S.-based websites.

“We’re thrilled to have come so far so fast,” says BlogTalkRadio Founder and CEO Alan Levy.

“I’d like to thank our entire community for making this phenomenal growth possible.”

(OK, everyone can unbow now.)

Well, I have to say I am delighted. I have only been here (as a new host) for less than a month and I have been continually impressed with the layout, integrity, quality and just plain FUN of this site/service. Most people take a hobby and turn it into a business. I, on the other hand, started my show as part of my business and realised that it is also my hobby! That is to say, it is something I truly enjoy doing, and I spend time developing my show, just because I like it here so much. So, BTR, if you have hit the 1 mill mark, it’s because you not only had a vision, but you delivered on it. And we here at BTR APPRECIATE you!

Congratulations, BTR. You (we) deserve it. ;-)

    Warm wishes,
