‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Star Amber Benson: Parking-Lot Pitchwoman!

"A lot of people know me as an actor, but they don't know I do other things," Amber (above) tells us.

You know the economy’s bad when a castmember from the hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer is reduced to hawking tchotchkes outside a San Diego theater.

Or maybe she’s just deeply in love.

Either way, BlogTalkRadio trumped merchandising and amour in the end.

During her PSI-FI Para-Radio interview this past Sunday, Amber Benson, who played Tara Maclay opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Buffy Summers, was chatting about her latest screen project when she slipped in an eyebrow-raising tidbit.

“Drones is a film that I co-directed with Adam Bush, who’s my boyfriend, who played Warren on Buffy - who kills me,” the actress told host Donna Stewart.

“How ironic. It’s pretty weird!” she continued.

Then came this segue:

“I’m actually in the parking lot of an Indigo Girls concert as we speak, because [Adam's] band, Common Rotation, is opening for them tonight - and I’m selling merchandise.

“I double-booked. I thought they asked me to do it on Saturday, but it was today,” added Amber, who’s also a writer - with a new book titled Death’s Daughter.

“So I was like, ‘Bye, guys! I can’t sell merchandise for the next hour. I’m going to do a radio show with these awesome ladies.”
