If you’re among the millions of *NSYNC fans hoping for a reunion of the platinum-selling pop group, here’s some advice:
(1) Tune into The Baub Show tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET and (2) think Justin Timberlake.
During an exclusive interview, JT’s fellow *NSYNC member, Lance Bass, dishes about the boys’ much-anticipated comeback.
When host – and longtime Lance pal – Bob Merrick asks on behalf of a listener, “Now that Justin has slowed down a bit with his solo career, is *NSYNC thinking about doing a reunion tour?” Lance replies:
“I wasn’t aware that Justin had slowed down. We had no idea that Justin would become who he became going solo.
“So things definitely got pushed back and got pushed back. And now, of course, it’s been a few years since we’ve done an album.
“It’s something that I would always love to do, but…”
But what, you ask? You’ll have to log on to find out.
Later in the show, Lance, who in a 2006 People magazine cover story revealed he’s gay, chats about making that brave choice.
“There were a few reasons why I didn’t want to make my private life public. Straight or gay, I think it’s your own private personal life. But it wasn’t something I was hiding with my friends,” he says.
“You knew, everyone knew in my inner circle, and I had relationships, all that. But it was definitely time to do it. One of the reasons I did it was because my parents are from small-town Mississippi.
“And it’s a whole difference place down in the South. I was raised where you didn’t know a single gay person – even though of course they existed and of course they were everywhere. It’s just that it’s hidden.
“It’s a very touchy subject because of religion and it’s just a different way of being brought up.”
