Apparently, millions of The Hills fans had been wondering what’s up with this talk of cast member Stephanie Pratt contributing to the success of ABC’s Lost.
So Jessi Cruickshank and Dan Levy—hosts of MTV’s The Hills: The After Show—turned to BlogTalkRadio to ferret out the truth.
“True or false: Stephanie Pratt worked on the hit show Lost?,” Dan asked last night on his show. “Well, here she is blowing our minds in a recent radio interview.”
Then he rolled a clip of Artists On Demand Radio‘s May 3 chat with Stephanie, in which host Ashleigh Cook asks:
“You worked on Lost as well, right?”
“Yea, I did. I took a little time off from FIDM and went down to Hawaii to work as a PA,” says Steph, referring to her school—the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
“So it’s true!” said Dan, post-clip.
“Wow, a production assistant!” added Jessi.
Later in Stephanie’s Artists On Demand Radio interview, she also clears up some more misconceptions about how she got cast on the series, which kicked off its final season April 27.
“I’d been at FIDM for about a year and a half. And one day, Lauren Conrad walked in with a camera crew,” says the reality-show cutie.
“They saw on the roll-call sheet that my last name was Pratt. And they had some guy named Spencer Pratt dating Heidi [Montag] on the show,” she adds of her brother and now-sister-in-law.
“So they asked me, ‘Are you related to Spencer?’ And I was like, Yes.
“So they were like, ‘This is awesome! What a great coincidence. We couldn’t have contrived this.
“So they asked me to be on the show. And that’s really how it happened.
“Everyone thinks it was set up, but it was all just a coincidence.”
