He started the show to help promote Heal2BFree, a company he founded with the mission of “closing the health disparities gaps between people of different socioeconomic, racial and educational backgrounds.”  Through his program, Dr. James is educating not only his audience about healthier eating habits, but also urging institutions such as churches and corporations to provide healthier foods and promote physical activity to their members and employees.

In the article, he shares some valuable tips for those who are interested in getting their feet wet in online radio, including selecting a topic that you feel passionate about, starting a dialogue with guests on your show and learning from established hosts on the network.  He actually began hosting his radio program by connecting with an established host on BlogTalkRadio who helped to show him the ropes.  The piece also mentions BlogTalkRadio University, our educational radio program for hosts.
