Today we have released a new form which will simplify the Featuring process on BlogTalkRadio.
You can find the form when you login and hit the “Promote” tab under “Features Requests.” Or click here.
The form allows hosts to select a segment, describe why it should be featured, input guest information, insert weblinks to promotional materials, and upload photos all in one form.
With this easy-to-use form, you can request to be featured in a few different ways.
![]()
- Featured On the Homepage scrollbar (upcoming)
- Featured in Category (archive)
- Considered a Featured Host
- Request a segment to consider for Best of BTR
With all these different types of Features Requests in one place, it will be much easier for hosts to submit information directly from their segments, and easier for BlogTalkRadio to keep track and process your requests.
Please check out the form, and try it out! The form has fields for detailed information, but not all fields are required to submit. When you have submitted the information successfully, you will receive a message confirming receipt of your request. Its simple and cuts down on the (digital) paper trail of sending multiple emails.
The Features and Promotion team will always be available at hostpr@blogtalkradio.com to assist, answer questions, and read schedules you are working on. The Features requests, however, will have to be submitted through this form in order to be processed. You’ll have time to transition, but if you try the form, you’ll want to switch right away!
As always, since BlogTalkRadio is a live network, featuring decisions are made according to requests received and daily content. For this reason, BlogTalkRadio is unable to confirm featured slots in advance. Featured spots are limited and BlogTalkRadio has sole discretion about promotion and feature status.
Thanks for hosting in our BlogTalkRadio community! Please email us if you have further questions.

Today, Washington Post columnist Howard Kurtz has written a piece about BlogTalkRadio that makes us proud.
In his column Media Notes, Kurtz explains how “With BlogTalkRadio, the Commentary Universe Expands.”
The article talks about the story behind our Citizen Broadcast Network, how some “unlikely stars have been born,” and BlogTalkRadio’s emergence as a tool for more empowering and interactive experiences online.
CEO Alan Levy says:
Its great that BlogTalkRadio is recognized by the number one media critic in the country, Howard Kurtz, as “a populist force in cyberspace.” This validates BlogTalkRadio as a powerful online medium that is a true Citizen Broadcast Network. As I said in the article, my Dad would be proud.
We have grown so much since August of 2006. Starting from the ground up, an empty network with no hosts, to our current impressive lineup of content, Kurtz observes that in addition to bloggers, “some better-known people are also gravitating toward the outlet.”
We want to take this opportunity to thank the many hosts and listeners who have brought their enthusiasm, energy, and discussions to our community.
