BlogTalkRadio welcomes Grammy Award Winning Songwriter & Producer Harold Lilly. Harold won his first Grammy for co-writing the Alicia Keys hit, “You Don’t Know My Name” and has worked with her extensively since then. Today at 6pm ET (click to listen), as Harold Lilly joins The Sharvette Mitchell Radio Show for an exclusive interview.
In just six short years, the 27 year old has gone from working in a hardware store to winning a Grammy. It was in 1999 that Lilly quit his day job to pursue music full time. Within the year, his talent had caught the ear of EMI Music Publishing’s Senior Vice President, Big Jon Platt and by January 2000 he was signed to a publishing deal without ever having a face to face meeting.
Though he’s consistently created hits for some of music’s hottest names, including Luther Vandross (“Take You Out”), Angie Stone (“Brother”), Brandy (“Talk About Our Love”), and Fantasia (”Baby Mama”), Lilly’s sound doesn’t stay the same; it varies from track to track, ensuring that he will only continue to hone his skills and grow as an artist. Tune in to hear more today.
