Big ups to BlogTalkRadio’s own heroic – and heavenly – underdog, Isobella Jade.
The celebrity catwalker’s memoir, Almost 5′ 4″: Confessions of an Unconventional Model, hit the shelves this week.
So she’s been busy signing books at Barnes & Nobles throughout New York City’s Tri-State area.
But that doesn’t mean Isobella, who has hosted Isobella Jade’s Model Talk since October 2007, has forgotten her thousands of loyal BTR listeners.
To the contrary, she’s throwing a virtual book party tonight at 6pm ET, during which she’ll be reading excerpts from her 278-page tome.
In the meantime, she tells us:
“The Internet has changed the word ‘model,’ mostly for the worse, as it allows for many scams, jerks, and misconceptions. Aspiring models should not use the Internet to start promoting themselves.
“If a girl wants to be a model, the first thing she should do – even before her photo is taken – is ask herself, What can I realistically model?
“Shorter girls can model in print ads for lifestyle products and shorter girls are perfect for modeling accessories, such as handbags, shoes, sunglasses, skin care, hair care.
“Modeling is about you just being right for the job – and is less about being perfect, airbrushed or tall.”
