Project Valour-IT on BlogTalkRadio

The annual fund raiser to provide injured American servicemen with voice command laptops is going on now. Hear more about it on BlogTalkRadio’s My Point Radio.

Project Valour-IT From October 29 to November 11, the annual Project Valour-IT fundraiser is seeking donations to provide voice-controlled software and laptop computers to wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand and arm injuries or amputations at major military medical centers.

Operating laptops by speaking into a microphone, our wounded heroes are able to send and receive messages from friends and loved ones, surf the ‘Net, and communicate with buddies still in the field without having to press a key or move a mouse.

My Point Radio had a talk with Patti from “Soldier’s Angels” about Project Valour-IT on October 31. You can catch the archive to learn more about this noble event, visit the Valour-IT blog or check out the Soldier’s Angels website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Valour-IT is an IRS-certified non-profit (donations are tax-deductible) and is non-political. Regardless of ideas about how/why war is being waged, the fact is that people are wounded and need our help. Valour-IT is about supplying that help, not about endorsing or opposing the reasons why it’s needed.

100% of the donations go directly to providing laptops with voice activated software to our wounded warriors. We have a friendly inter-branch rivalry going, but all funds are merged to help our warriors. Know any soldiers, sailors, airmen or marines? Add your funds to the rivalry. If you’re a blogger, you can team up by service branch, have friendly competition to reach the fund raising goal first, and spread the word off line through community contacts, etc.
