The Stupid Cancer Show is a Winner!

We are happy to announce that our very own The Stupid Cancer Show just won “Most Innovative Use Of Social Media” at the 3rd Annual CLASSY Awards, the largest philanthropic awards ceremony in the country.  Hosted by young adult survivors Lisa Bernhard and Matthew Zachary, The Stupid Cancer Show is an award-winning talk radio program of The I’m Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation. The mission behind The Stupid Cancer Show is to provide a support network for young adults (15-39) living with cancer.

Over the past four years, the the show has garnered 195 broadcasts and over 1.5M listeners worldwide. The broadcast features celebrity cancer survivors, young adult advocates, notable oncologists, distinguished public-health officials, scientists and nutritionists, along with award-winning filmmakers, authors, actors and musicians – Fran Drescher, Lisa Niemi, wife of the late Patrick Swayze and Doug Ulman, CEO of Lance Armstrong Foundation to name a few.

The Stupid Cancer Show has a very irreverent and edgy tone, which has brought listeners back in droves to their cause.  The show covers a variety of different topics such as politics, health care, civil rights and the environment to social media, entertainment, cancer research and education. Tune into The Stupid Cancer Show every Monday at 8PM EST.

Michael Porter: 1951-2010.  Former WWE ring announcer and editor of Wrestlebeat newsletter Michael Porter, who hosted Michael Porter’s WrestleShoot here on BTR from June 2008 through June of this year, passed away Saturday at his home in Los Angeles. He was 59 years old. On behalf of his many fans, and BTR’s legion of pro-wrestling hosts, our condolences go out to Michael’s family.
