Billy Bob Thornton isn’t known for putting things delicately, particularly when it comes to anything that threatens his beloved South.
Interviewed on Twisted South Radio, the Mr. Woodcock star—who snagged an Oscar for penning 1996’s Sling Blade—goes off fully cocked on British Petroleum for spilling untold millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
“It’s pretty f—– up. And I’ll tell you what, that’s one of our greatest treasures, the Gulf Coast,” the Hot Springs, Ark., native tells host Michael Buffalo Smith.
“Having spent my life—a lot of it—down around there, it’s just real sad to me. I don’t know what the answer is.
“But I think it’s a lot worse than people are letting on. It could be catastrophic in the end.
