Oh, Snaps! Pauly Sees Doug’s Rundgren with a Knight – and Raises Him a Gibson

Call it The Battle of the BlogTalkRadio Celebrity Schmoozers.

Shortly after Doug Ford, host of BlogTalkRadio’s Rundgren Radio, zipped us a pic of himself hanging with rocker Todd Rundgren last week, Fruit Salad host Pauly – of Pauly and Rico fame – followed up with two more celeb snaps.

The first finds Pauly cozying up to Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight recently in L.A.; the second finds him getting even cozier with pop star Debbie Gibson, also in La-La Land.

Deb and Pauly: We CAN Be Together.

Any hosts out there want to challenge Pauly’s celeb-schmooze superiority?

If so, email your celeb snap(s) to our community manager, Deborah Ng, at deborahng@blogtalkradio.com

(But be sure it’s an unretouched photo in which you and the celeb are clearly visible. Also be sure to include the location where and date when the photo was taken.)

Oh, Snaps! BlogTalkRadio Host Cozies up to Todd Rundgren in the Carolinas

Not wanting to be outdone by Fruit Salad hosts Pauly & Rico’s summer love fest with the celebrity set, Doug Ford sent us this pic of himself with legendary rocker Todd Rundgren.

Todd

Todd (left) and Doug: Doin' hors d'oeuvres in Dixie.

As host of BlogTalkRadio’s Rundgren Radio – which features interviews with musicians associated with the Bang The Drum All Day singer’s career – Doug of course holds a special place in Todd’s heart.

Just this week, in fact, Todd told The Mountain Times of Boone, N.C., that Doug “does an outstanding job” with his BlogTalkRadio show.

As for Doug’s tête-à-tête with Todd, the two shared (what look like) Swedish meatballs recently at a Greenville, N.C., eatery.

Rock, Pop and the Hottest Indie Bands on BlogTalkRadio

BlogTalkRadio welcomes musical icons and upcoming hit makers today and tomorrow.

Godfrey Tonight at 8pm ET, Rundgren Radio welcomes special guest Godfrey Townsend. Townsend played in Alan Parsons’ Beatles tribute show “A Walk Down Abbey Road” back in 2001. The show also featured – you know who – Todd Rundgren among several other great musicians. Townsend has a stellar musical background so there’s plenty to talk about. Join Godfrey and Doug tonight.

The_Proclaimers Also, Friday at 5pm, the Scottish band “The Proclaimers” stop by the Somewhere in Vegas show to talk about their “More than 500 miles” US tour. If you watched “Benny and Joon” or had a radio on in the 90s, you heard the song “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers. Get the scoop on them with MarQ in Vegas!

Today at 6pm ET, Hood Hard Radio debuts with three days of the hottest indie music. Check it out.

Music Great Larry Tagg on BlogTalkRadio

Tagg Co-founder and co-leader of the popular band BOURGEOIS TAGG, Larry Tagg, joins Rundgren Radio tonight at 8:30pm ET.

In 1987, the band recorded their second album, Yoyo, with esteemed producer Todd Rundgren. When it was released in the autumn of that year, the band had their biggest hit with its first single, “I Don’t Mind At All”(#38 on Billboard), a shimmering, melancholy ballad of resignation whose catchy melody, offbeat rhythm, and dramatic use of strings is reminiscent of classic Beatles songs, such as “Yesterday”.

XTC Guitar Player Dave Gregory

BlogTalkRadio welcomes Dave Gregory, lead guitarist and of the new wave band XTC, to the Todd Rundgren show.

Dave Gregory Today at 2pm ET, Dave Gregory the lead guitarist of the new wave, rock, pop band, XTC, from 1979 to 1999. He also contributed keyboards and backing vocals to their work. This is a great follow up to Doug’s last show featuring XTC Frontman Andy Partridge.

Since leaving XTC Gregory has been much in demand as a session musician with a number of artists.

XTC enjoyed some significant chart success in the late 70s and early 80s in England, they are more known for their long-standing critical success than for making hit records. Find out more today.
