Former Plus-Size Actor Ron Lester: Thanks to Shock-Jock ‘Mancow’ Muller, I Finally Lost My Innocence – at 30!

Up until he turned 30, Ron Lester had never experienced romantic love – or anything even remotely close to it.

For at more than 500 pounds, the Varsity Blues star wasn’t exactly what you’d call eye candy.

Happily hooking up these days.

Ron with a fetching female fan: Happily hooking up these days.

Then, on the day he turned 30, all that changed with a “gift” from a fellow celebrity pal, says Ron.

After launching his BlogTalkRadio show, Ron Lester Online, on Dec. 17, Ron was flooded with emails from women wanting to know how his pre-weight-loss love life com- pared to his love life today – as a 190-pound hottie.

So last week, Ron took the time to respond, and wound up recounting how Chicago deejay Erich “Mancow” Muller – whose Mancow’s Morning Madhouse is syndicated nationwide – helped him lose his innocence before losing 350 pounds.

“Mancow is one of my best friends . . . He’s one of the people who helped me get laid the first time,” reveals Ron.

“I was in Vegas with some of my cast-members from the show Popular. And I was about to turn 30.  And next thing I know I get a knock on the door and there’s this beautiful hot blonde standing there.

“And I . . . figure she’s got the wrong room.  And at this point, no hot women are knocking on my door. Well, I opened the door.  I said, ‘Can I help you?’ She says, ‘You Ronnie?’ I go, ‘Yea.’  She goes, ‘I’m a present.’

“I love Erich to death,” says Ron.

“Mancow” at work in the Windy City: “I love Erich to death,” says Ron.

“I lost my virginity to a hooker by the name of Ginny in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel. At first I was like, ‘I’ll never admit that. I’ll never admit that.’

“Well, let me tell you something: That was a $2,000-an-hour hooker. And she did things to me that I can’t even put into words. Of course, it was my first time. So it’s not like I had anything to compare it to . . . But at that point – woo hoo!”

After moving from his hometown of Kennesaw, Ga., to Los Angeles in the mid-1990s, Ron, now 38, began his showbiz career a stand-up comic. His first acting role was in the 1997 flick Good Burger. Two years later, he landed a recurring role on the Judd Apatow-produced NBC comedy Freaks and Geeks.

In 2001, Ron appeared in Not Another Teen Movie, parodying his role as the rotund Billy Bob in Varsity Blues. That same year, he underwent his weight-loss surgery – and flat-lined during the risky procedure.

BlogTalkRadio’s Newest Celebrity Host? 350-Pound ‘Loser’ Ron Lester!

Ron Lester’s loss is BlogTalkRadio’s gain.

Since undergoing dramatic duodenal-switch surgery in 2001, the Varsity Blues star not only has a buff new bod, but a new lease on life, too.

And now he’s bringing his inspirational attitude to the world’s largest online radio network.

“Fat-ass” no more.

Ron: “Fat-ass” no more.

Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET, beginning tonight, Ron will talk about his ongoing efforts to stay buff after shedding 350 pounds. He’ll also discuss how he plans to remove all the excess skin left after his procedure.

Moreover, he’ll help others with physical and emotional challenges overcome those hardships – and go, as he tells us, “from fat-ass to kick-ass.”

Tipping the scale as a tubby teen.

At Ron’s low point several years back, he feared that – even with his svelte new figure – he couldn’t continue living in this cruel, cruel world.

“My then-girlfriend and I courted for a couple of months, and when we were getting ready to have that magical moment, when I got naked, she saw my skin,” Ron told BlogTalkRadio host Brett Cohen last month on World Talk Live!

“I looked like a deflated balloon. It grossed her out.  She broke up with me that night – asked me to leave.  And that about killed me.

“I literally sat out in my truck and I had a gun and I went through all this stuff – I lost the weight and I’m still gettin’ treated like this? I can’t win for winning.

“And I was going to kill myself. But then I said, You know what, she’s not worth it.”

Total hottie today.

But a total hottie today.

Ron Lester: 350-Pound Loser – and Lovin’ It!

It’s been seven years since Varsity Blues star Ron Lester underwent the dramatic surgery that allowed him to shed 350 pounds – after leaving him dead on the operating table.

“This is what’s left after losing 348 pounds,” says Ron in his new BodyBuilding.com video.

Now he’s back on BlogTalkRadio to update us on his progress, and let us know what’s next in his career.

Atop the list of questions from fans who’ve watched the actor’s new BodyBuilding.com video (and know that’s he’s already had 16 epidermis-tightening procedures) will no doubt be, “How do you plan to get rid of all that extra skin?”

But rest assured that World Talk Live! host Brett Cohen will cover that territory and more when Ron – who once tipped the scales at 508 pounds – appears live today at 4:30 p.m. ET.
