‘True Jackson’ Star Robbie Amell to Taylor Lautner: ‘You Little Rat!’

Taylor Lautner‘s big-screen big bro is none too pleased that the Twilight star has buffed up big-time.

Interviewed on WZAP Internet Radio, Robbie Amell—who now plays Keke Palmer‘s love interest on True Jackson, VP—recalls meeting up with Taylor recently, four years after they starred together as two of the four Murtaugh brothers in Cheaper by The Dozen 2.

“I saw him recently at the Teen Vogue party. And I immediately walked up, and I was like, ‘OK, who’s stronger? Who’s bigger?’” Robbie tells host Zachary Sang.

“Because he always used to make fun of me for—I was a big musclehead when I was shooting Cheaper, because I Continue reading

‘True Jackson’ Star Ashley Argota: ‘I’m a Workaholic and a Freak’

Though she turned sweet 16 in January, Ashley Argota won’t be calling anyone her beau anytime soon.

Interviewed on WZAP Radio, the cutie pie, who plays Lulu on the hit Nickelodeon series True Jackson, VP, says guys aren’t on her radar.

CAPTIONS: "I tend to shy away from guys - that's just me," Ashley (above) tells us.

When host Zachary Sang asks, “Are you in a relationship right now?” Ashley replies:

“I am not. I am so not right now. I’m not even looking. I don’t have time.

“I’m so focused on school and work and stuff, and I’m having so much fun with that that it’s not even something that crosses my mind.”

When Zach presses on, asking “Why not?” the actress says:

“I don’t know. I guess I’m a workaholic and a freak.”

Ashley also weighs in on the questionable driving skills of co-star Keke Palmer – about whom fellow cast-member Matt Shively recently told Zach, “I would get in a car with her. But I can’t say I wouldn’t be afraid.”

“Keke has driven me around the set before, in the golf carts,” says Ashley.

“I’ve had a couple of close calls. I wasn’t there, but when she went to go to the cafeteria, I think she parked the cart sort of funky.

“So maybe I will let her drive me around town. But that’s a big maybe.”

‘True Jackson’ Star Matt Shively: I’d Get into a Car with Keke Palmer — but I’d Be Afraid

The State of California may have had enough confidence in Keke Palmer to grant her a learner’s permit, but don’t expect Matt Shively to be hopping into a ride with her any time soon.

Interviewed on WZAP Radio, Matt reveals his true feelings about his True Jackson, VP co-star, who plays the title role that hit Nick sitcom – and who won’t turn 16 until August.

CAPTION: “We would do anything for each other,” Matt says of Keke (left).

“We would do anything for each other,” Matt (right) says of Keke (left).

“We have carts – like golf carts – on the set. So when we need to go to the pro- duction office or anything, we take the cart over there,” Matt, 18, tells host Zachary Sang.

“And I remember I came to work one day and I went to drive it and it was broken. Like one of the wheels had – I can’t remember if it was popped, or the axel was twisted around – and I was like, ‘What happened with the cart?’

“And they’re like, ‘Oh, ah, Keke ran into a curb.’ And I was like, ‘OK.’

“So I think I would take a chance and I would get in a car with her. But I can’t say I wouldn’t be afraid the entire time.

“Until I have someone else from the cast who has taken a ride with her, I probably wouldn’t be the first one to venture into it.”

During the 40-minute interview, Matt also dishes about his weight concerns, his love life and whether he’d ever consider hooking up with Keke, who first made a name for herself on the big screen opposite Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne in 2006’s Akeelah and the Bee.

“I live on my own, so I don’t have my mom breathing down my neck telling me to eat right and all that stuff. So for the first three, four months of filming, I kind of was always at kraft service, always eating,” he says.

CAPTION: “I’m a little self-conscious going to the beach,” Matt (above) tells us of his recent plumping up. “It’s time to lay off the hamburgers and switch to salads.”

“I’m a little self-conscious going to the beach,” Matt says of plumping up. “It’s time to lay off the hamburgers and switch to salads.”

“When I got home, I didn’t have anything to do, so I’d go to McDonald’s or something. So I always ate. And I gained a good 20 pounds over the past seven and a half months.

“A year ago, I was at my perfect weight: 165 pounds,” Matt con- tinues. “Now I’m 180 pounds. I want to lose 15 pounds by the time we go back to Season 2.”

On the romance front, Matt reveals:

“I’m not in a relationship. I can’t say I wouldn’t want to be, be- cause now that I have three months off [for summer hiatus], being in a relationship would be great.

“But it’s really hard to find ‘the right person’ out here. Especially with the things that go on, it’s just really hard to find a good girl who wants to be in a relationship with you.”

And when Zach asks if Matt has considered getting busy with his co- star, he comes back with:

“I can’t jump on that train. [Keke’s] like a sister to me. She’s gorgeous.

“But with her and [co-star] Ashley [Argota], we literally are like a family.

“I’ll be the older brother, though. When she brings a guy to the set that she’s dating, I’ll definitely be the one who gets in his face.

“I’ll be like, ‘Hey! So I see you’re, ah, dating Keke, huh? You gonna treat her nice? You break her heart, I’ll break your neck.’”
