Every now and then we talk about how it’s to your benefit to have a detailed show description. In a nutshell, the more details you have, the more likely you are to have your show featured, and also, the more likely your show is to be picked up by search engines.
Here’s something else to consider: It’s a good practice to update your show description each week. Generic show descriptions don’t indicate to the reader if there’s a special topic being discussed or if there’s a guest or special event. Plus, using fresh keywords and tags for each show will give you even more chances to be picked up by the search engines.
Fresh content means potential listeners see your show page and are intrigued by your upcoming episodes rather than seeing the same old thing. You don’t need to write a novel, just a descriptive paragraph will do. Be sure to include news about the day’s topic and any guests – and don’t forget to include your keywords!
