BlogTalkRadio has gone through some big changes. We’re now the true social radio network.
We’re still the live Internet talk show service you’ve grown to know. Record your own talk show using just a phone and computer. Share it as a podcast. All free. But now, we’ve opened the community up to listeners who can now create their own profiles, so hosts can get closer to their audience. All members can add friends and favorites and rate shows.
With thousands of original shows in the archive and hundreds live each day, we’ve improved the ways you can find the programming you want. Search by time of day, host, show or guest name, by category or popularity. And we’ve added more ways for you to become popular as well.
Every profile has an optional blog, so you can talk about shows or topics and engage your readers with comments, private messaging and live chat. Find your blog under My Account > Blog. Anyone can subscribe to your profile and get updates or reminders of your shows or posts. As a host, you can still copy and paste badges or a media player, on any web site or blog. You’ll find these under My Account > Promote. You can always view your public profile by going to My Account > My Profile.
For hosts, we’ve made conducting your show a lot easier. We’ve consolidated show information, sound files and the switchboard into one panel. Find it under My Account > Switchboard. You’ll want to schedule a show first. You can do that by going to My Account > Segments. Then go to My Account > Uploads and upload podsafe music. When you go back to the switchboard, you’ll find a list of uploaded files and during your show you can select one and play or pause it.
