Chalk another one up for The Midlife Gals!
BlogTalkRadio’s own Kelly and Sally Jackson, those unwed, cocktail-guzzling, 50-something sisters from Texas who live with their octo- genarian mom, were “singled” out in yesterday’s Austin American-Statesman for their relentless efforts to grab headlines (or at least gossip items).
“They remind me of other Austin shameless self-promoters – Kinky Friedman, Bob ‘Daddy-O’ Wade, Turk Pipkin – who nevertheless charm and contribute to the greater good of the community,” writes social columnist Michael Barnes.
“What are they like over the course of drinks and appetizers at the reopened Paggi House? Like the zygote of Fannie Flagg matured as a timeless Texas vaudeville team.”
