David Lynch Tribute on Movie Geeks United

Join the Movie Geeks for a very special installment of their BlogTalkRadio show to pay homage to filmmaker and creative icon David Lynch.

In this special segment, the Geeks discuss Lynch’s work and also welcome some esteemed colleagues of Lynch to the airwaves. The Geeks will interview the guests and discuss their various film and television projects. The David Lynch special is the kick-off to a quarterly director’s series the Geeks are launching on their show. Great idea guys!

Here is a sampling of the talented and creative minds that will be joining the Movie Geeks at 6pm EST:

-Toby Keeler, a long time friend of Lynch and producer/director of documentary “Pretty As a Picture: The Art of David Lynch.”

-Martha P. Nochimson, frequent contributor to Film Quarterly, Film Comment and Cineaste magazines, a prolific author of film-related works, including “The Passion of David Lynch: Wild at Heart in Hollywood.”

-Mark Jan Wlodariewicz, assistant sound editor, and Douglas Murray, supervising sound editor, on “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” will join to share their thoughts on Lynch’s groundbreaking approach to cinematic sound. These two designers have worked on many high profile films, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The English patient, Armageddon and Walk the Line.

-Ben Barenholtz, the acclaimed producer of Miller’s Crossing, Barton Fink, and an instrumental force in ensuring Lynch’s first film “Eraserhead” became a cult success.
