Glenn Beck Offers Morning Prayers on the Road to Mending America

If you’re among the millions of Americans looking to restore the values upon which our great nation was built, you’ll no doubt want to mark Saturday, Aug. 28 on your calendar.

Because that’s when Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation gather at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Glenn: Gathering at Abe's feet to protect our freedom.

Glenn: Gathering at Abe's feet to protect our freedom.

There they’ll hold a non- political rally paying tribute to America’s military personnel and other upstanding citizens who embody our Founding Fathers’ principles of integrity, truth and honor.

(Aug. 28 also marks the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered from that very same location.)

The mission of this event is to recognize First Amendment rights and honor the service members who fight to protect those freedoms.

To help raise awareness for the Restoring Honor rally, Glenn—who also hosts the nationally-syndicated talk radio show The Glenn Beck Program, and a self-titled Fox News Channel show—is hosting morning prayers with faith leaders, right here on BlogTalkRadio.

Guests to date on Glenn Beck Morning Prayer have included evangelical Christian minister David Barton, Rabbi Daniel Lapin—aka America’s Rabbi—and E.W. Jackson Sr. of Exodus Faith Ministries.

Glenn’s BlogTalkRadio prayer series continues though Friday, Aug. 27.

I don’t know what kind of honor Mr. Beck and his friends are “restoring” to a nation that has adopted immorality as its guiding principle, recklessness as its national symbol, and deception as its national anthem. I don’t know what Beck will be praying for, or to for that matter because the God that I serve is not one of confusion and disorder. “Real Christians” look for ways to unite rather than divide. They seek to heal rather than wound. They seek to lift the downtrodden, not stomp a mudhole in them.

The divisiveness in America is being caused by those who think they can act, think, and speak in any manner, yet hide behind the constitution and the Bible. It’s called hypocrisy.
Beck is headlining this event alongside the master hypocrite herself, Sarah Palin. Here’s one that aspires to be President of this nation, yet defends a woman who made despicable, racist remarks publicly. Just the very fact that they’re holding this “restoration” rally on the 47th anniversary of Dr. King’s speech, speaks volumes about motive and intent.

Mr. Beck, the next time you pray, don’t forget to ask God to remove the scales and open the eyes of those in the Republican party, Conservatives in particular, so that you can all clearly see that what you preach and what you live are certainly polar opposites.

    Dear Denice,
The God that I know doesn’t particularly like passing children Through the Fire (abortion), in fact it is an abomination to him, nor is he too keen on men lying with men, women lying with women. Might want to read some isaiah on those who turn a blind eye to killing their own children, they are cursed and their families are cursed.

So if you stand with this president and the democratic party then you clearly have no clue what a real Christian is. Me thinks the hypocrite is you, calling people names, judging them and somehow thinking you are qualified to do so. Next time you pray, ask that your own biased scales are removed as well as those who vote with this democratic party.
