soundbits-wordpress12Give us a 15-second pitch for your show—why should listeners tune in?

The Healthtopia Radio Show is a Christian health and wellness program designed to uplift your spirit and bless you with information that’ll help you through tough times. What’s the No. 1 reason why you host a BlogTalkRadio show?

My mission for The Healthtopia Radio Show is to spread the message of healthy living all over the world, and to help people love themselves and take better care of their bodies.

Tell us two things listeners would be surprised to learn about you?

For fun, I write children’s books and poetry in my spare time.

Who’s your broadcasting hero?

None other than Oprah Winfrey. I’ve been watching her program since I was a little girl and I admire her hosting skills, entrepreneurial accomplishments and generosity. I’d like to produce a TV show on her OWN network in the future.

If you could book any person on earth as a guest on your show, who would it be and why?

It would certainly be Oprah—and Windy Williams and Tyra Banks. Because they’ve all reached the pinnacle of success with their TV shows, while inspiring millions of people to lead better lives. They represent what can be achieved with perseverance, consistency, luck and talent. Plus, I want them to know that they’re building a strong foundation for future generations.

As we speak, what are you wearing?

Non-fat Ballou: Helping Jane Fonda promote World Fitness Day.

My usual fitness gear, because I just finished taking my daily two-mile walk, followed by 30 minutes of yoga. Ahhhhhhhhh! I feel so proud of myself for losing over 100 pound-and keeping it off for the past five years. I’m The Biggest Loser of all.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever done while in the middle of hosting your show?

Interviewing a guest despite the fact that I was having contractions and preparing to go into labor the entire time! It was with a celebrity news anchor who’s got millions of fans. And you never would have guessed that I was in so much pain as I moved smoothly from question to question, as if nothing was happening.
