Dennis Miller, Bill O’Reilly Join BlogTalkRadio’s Fight for a Flag Honoring America’s Fallen Soldiers

Last we told you about the campaign to establish an official flag honoring the 1.6 million U.S. military troops who have died in action since America’s founding 232 years ago, the issue had been taken up on Capitol Hill.

With a little luck, the recently-introduced bill to designate the Honor and Remember Flag as the official flag of our fallen soldiers – as no such flag currently exists – will become a law in 2009.

“Dennis is campaigning for a unique flag to honor those killed fighting for America,” Bill said of the Honor and Remember flag.

Meanwhile, we’re happy to report that comedian Dennis Miller and Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly have joined the fight for this cause that BlogTalkRadio took national on July 4.

Last week, on The O’Reilly Factor, Bill called HonorAndRemember.org “a very worthy charity.” He also let viewers know that his pal Dennis is on board with the campaign.

“I cannot be humbled enough that these two honorable and influential men actually understood the importance of this historic vision,” HonorAndRemember.org founder George Lutz – whose son, Army Cpl. Tony Lutz, was killed by a sniper in Iraq in December 2005 – tells us.

“Since The O’Reilly Factor mention, more than 4,000 signatures were added to our petition,” he added. “Please continue to spread the word. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

If enacted, the federal legislation would require that the flag be flown at the White House, Capitol, World War II Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, national cemeteries, and other federal grounds.
