And BlogTalkRadio’s Grizzly Groundswell team will be there every step of the way as the events unfold.

Dubbed the Chicago Nationwide Tea Party, this grassroots cam- paign was inspired by CNBC on-air editor Rick Santelli.

While reporting live from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade on February 19, Rick challenged the president to let the American people decide whether or not they want to fork over their hard- earned tax dollars

“Why don’t you put up a website and let people vote on the Internet as a referendum to see if we want to subsidize losers’ mortgages – or would we [rather] reward people who can carry the water instead of drink the water?”

Twenty-four hours later, Top Con- servatives on Twitter (TCOT) had heeded Rick’s call, setting the Nationwide Tea Party in motion.

In all, participants in more than 30 cities – including Chicago, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, St. Louis, Cleveland, Seattle, Sacramento, Atlanta, Tulsa and Hartford – will be piling out into their town squares to make their dissatisfaction known, while offering more fair solutions to our nation’s financial crisis.

Many will be dressed as Revolutionary War figures, while staging tea- dumping ceremonies.

“This is just our opening shot across the bow,” TCOT’s Shelli Dawdy tells us. “There will be more action in the coming months, as the nonsense out of Washington shows no signs of abating.”

Other organ- izations helping rally support for the events include the United Republican Fund, Smart Girl Politics, Don’t Go Movement, Heartland Institute and The American Spectator magazine.

Hosted by Chad Everson, the three-hour Grizzly Groundswell special, featuring live reports from correspondents in each participating city, kicks off at 11 a.m. ET.
