Fightin’ Words Radio host Bobby Carroll gives it up for Neil Turbin, the original lead singer for Anthrax. The rocker, who founded his latest band, Death Riders, in 2003, will fill us in on the Sept. 21 Metal Revolution for Iran benefit in L.A., where he’ll be headlining.

Film Festival Radio’s Janice Malone got busy with former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman—and rabid gridiron fan—Darius Rucker, who filled us in on his new End Zone Obsession Football Challenge, a weekly, 17-round interactive game presented by Athlon Sports.

When Random Talk Radio cut loose with the Conan O’Brien Band, guitarist Jimmy Vivino dished about which members will join Conan’s team on the new TBS show. “Johnnie Johnson kind of knew he had to get Doña Oxford,” he said. “There’s a lot to it—and Johhnie’s never leaving us.”

America’s Next Top Model winner Whitney Thompson and BTR’s own Chenese Lewis—who last month raised eyebrows by posing nude together—used their star power for another good cause: The NOH8 campaign, which supports same-sex marriage.

Molly Ringwald is ratcheting up her writing chops. The ‘80s screen idol reveals what the follow-up to her 2010 memoir, Getting the Pretty Back, will be. “I’m working on my second book, but it’ll be fiction,” she told host Robin Milling. “I’m looking forward to writing about characters.”

Josh Duhamel agreed to pose in his BVDs for the Life as We Know It poster—his new flick with Katherine Heigl—only if Warner Bros. agreed to fix his bad gam in post: “I was like, ‘OK dude, I’ll do the underwear. But please make my right calf look a little bit bigger!’”

At noon Kevin Kline, whose Extra Man opens July 30, recalls shooting the low-budget comedy in New York City—and stumbling across Jeremy Irons. “He thought I had really fallen on hard times,” Kevin tells host Robin Milling, “because the car that my character drives was a jalopy!”

At 3 PM The wOw Effect’s Lesley Stahl goes one-on-one with CNBC Money Honey Maria Bartiromo, who describes being harassed by a NYSE board member. “For seven years, he tortured me,” she says. “Every time I walked by him, he’d say little grumblings—‘Save your money.’”

At 5 PM Red Velvet Media host Holly Stephey gets up close and personal with pal Tommy Ramone, the last surviving original member of legendary punk-rock group The Ramones. Plus: The band’s tour manager, Monte A. Melnick, author of the new book, On the Road with The Ramones.

At 11:30 Host Timothy Hodge kicks it with actor Sharif Atkins, who plays Jones on USA’s White Collar, and has done guest turns on such hit shows as E.R. , Cold Case, Criminal Minds and CSI: Miami. Sharif will fill us in on what he’s got in the way of film projects.


At 3 PM Tomorrow Will Be Televised’s Simon Applebaum sits down with Matt Polka, president of the American Cable Association. Plus: SnagFilms CEO Rick Allen and This New House producer Bruce Irving.

At 9 PM Freedomizer Radio is live in Las Vegas for the RightOnline conference, where guest speakers—including FCC Chief Robert McDowell, U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, HotAir.com’s Ed Morrissey and Fox News’ Jim Pinkerton—will address Internet rights and freedom.


At 9 PM NeXplicable P gives it up for Athena Cage (above), Lavonn Battle and Tabisha Duncan, aka Kut Klose, the R&B trio discovered by Keith Sweat, and whose 1995 single I Like cracked the Top 10 on the hip-hop charts. The divas will chat about their latest album, Let It Ring.


At 8 PM Fightin’ Words Radio host Bobby Carroll lets it all hang out with Sebastian Felix, frontman for the rock band Bash, whose new album—featuring such tracks as Best Friend, No Vacancy and Broken Smile—is titled Stop the Angel’s Cry.
