Today’s Programming Highlights:
At noon Just because Mark Ruffalo looks like a certain whacked-out cult leader who killed more than 70 people doesn’t mean he’s going to play him on the silver screen. “I’m not doing that,” the star tells host Robin Milling of the David Koresh biopic. “I read it immediately and passed on it.”
At 3 PM Tomorrow Will Be Televised host Simon Apple sits down with Tara Maitra, senior vice president of content for TiVo. Plus: Gary Randall, executive producer of The Glades, A&E’s new drama series launching July 11.
At 430 PM Host Caleb Jones kicks it with Nick Kosir, the Beaumont, Texas, meteorologist who’s been rapping his forecasts for a year now, much to the delight of his Fox 4 audience—not to mention fans nationwide who’ve logged onto his funky reports more than 500,000 times.
At 5 PM Host Sharon Nelson hangs with singer-songwriter Trey Lorenz, who began his career as a backup vocalist for Mariah Carey and last year dueted with the diva at Michael Jackson’s memorial service. Trey will chat about the gospel album he’s got in the works for 2011.
At 7 PM WDKK Radio’s Darryl Williams kicks back with Bill Cobbs, who has graced such flicks as Trading Places, Night at the Museum, Silkwood and The Bodyguard, not to mention countless TV series. Bill will chat about what he’s got in the works—at age 76.
At 9 PM Host Mutha hangs with Rodney Perry, formerly of BlogTalkRadio’s Rodney Perry Live and now co-host of BET’s The Mo’Nique Show. Rodney will fill us in on his big-screen projects, including his role in the Cedric the Entertainer comedy Chicago Pulaski Jones.
