On September 11th, 2001 the lives of the American people were changed forever. 2996 Lives were lost that fateful day.
This year, on the 5th anniversary of what we have all come to know as 9/11, Blog Talk Radio and The Blue Doodle got together and paid tribute to the 2996 people lost on that day.
Alan Levy of Blog Talk Radio and Amy Domestico from The Blue Doodle hosted a night of readings that included personal tributes, poetry, and music, all dedicated to the victims of 9/11, and the people who risked their lives to help in the aftermath. Hero’s every single one of them, who deserve the highest honor we can give to them, and they, nor their heroic acts should never ever be forgotten.
We want to take this opportunity to thank the people involved…….
Special readers included:
Dale Roe creator of the 2996 project
Lamont Carey/spoken word artist
One Wise African/spoken word icon and motivational speaker
Rene Reyes International Poet Laureate
The Pod Poet from Hellicane
Dr Jim Messina from Coping.org
Doyle Armstrong from 9/11 hero’s
And honored we were to be joined by Brian Humphrey from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Last but not least two people behind the scenes Bob Charish and Kate D, who with their expertise, we were able to bring to you this show.
Of course also a special thanks to the people who spent the countless hours getting to know the person they paid tribute to, and for doing such a fine job.
