Anil Dash: Transparency in the New Media World

Without doubt, Anil Dash is one of the pioneers of blogging. His knowledge and experience are sought after on the speaking circuit – worldwide. Today, he’ll be speaking on BlogTalkRadio with John C. Havens about transparency in the new media world.

anilnyc.jpgAn early and influential blogger, Dash is a VP at Six Apart and a self-proclaimed writer/geek/New Yorker. He’s best known, he says, for having been involved with blogs since the early days of the medium. 1999? Yes, I’d say so. You can find his main blog here and a list of his other blogging endeavors here.

Dash will be live on Media 2.Open – Talk About Transparency at 5pm ET today. The show focuses on transparency in business.

From Dash’s “standard biography

Anil Dash is Chief Evangelist at Six Apart, Ltd, where he’s played a formative role in helping create the world’s leading blogging company. Dash is a recognized expert on blogs, web technology, web culture and the software industry, having founded one of the earliest and most popular weblogs on the Internet, which was named as one of MSNBC’s “Best of Blogs”. A frequent keynote speaker, Dash has given presentations around the world about the future of social communication online, the relationship between blogs and traditional media, and business blogging.

This will surely be one for the record books. My advice is to take advantage and speak with him live. If you can’t make it, certainly don’t miss the archive on the host page or via RSS.
