You’ve heard of shotgun weddings?
Well, how about psychotic conceptions?
That, believe it or not, might best describe what prompted funnyman Kevin Nealon to become a father.
This week on Authors On Air, the Saturday Night Live alum – who, at age 53, had his first child, son Gable Ness, last year – dishes with host Michael Barnes about being a middle-aged dad.
And what was Kevin doing on Authors On Air? He’s also a first-time author, of course – having penned the hilarious new book, Yes, You’re Pregnant, But What About Me?
During the chat, Kevin recounted why he decided to settle down and start a family after decades of bachelorhood:
“I got a letter from a woman in prison once. They can get your home address now, from the Internet. She was in prison because she threw battery acid on her husband.
“And she said she’d love to hook up with me and have my baby. And she was getting out in a year.
“And I thought, ‘This is crazy I can’t wait a year. I’m getting older. I need things to move along quicker!’”
